Karoline and kids Ernst G., Mollie, Adolph, and Paul came to the United States. Karoline emigrated from Langenbielau, Silesia, in 1882. It is not known whether the kids emigrated at the same time.

She is buried in Wunder Cemetery (Irving Park and Clark), Chicago, Illinois, in a lot owned by her son Paul R. Hahn. Also buried in Wunder cemetery are Paul R. Breither (b. 1845, d. 1923), Emelie Breither (b. 1852, d. 5/23/1946), and Emma F. Breither (b. 1880, d. 1927) (Source: Wunder Cemetery Records); while it is certain those three are related to each other--all three are on the same stone--it is unknown how (or if) they are related to Karoline. Paul is enough younger to be a nephew (or a significantly younger brother).
