"Timothy was one of the first eleven settlers of Weathersfield, VT in 1772. He was elected one of the Pound Keepers that year. In 1773 at the first annual town meeting he was made a Constable. He had a house and a mill of some sort on the brook behind where the Ascutney store was standing in 1975. There has been a store at this location since the town's earliest days.
"The road westward from The Corners along what is now Route 131 followed the Mill Brook valley. The farms in this valley were smaller and less productive than those in the Connecticut valley. Most of the residents along this road were concerned with either industry or service to travelers. The Parkhurst homestead was on this road at the western edge of the village."
